WBC Prayer Requests & Updates

- Pray for our fellowship gathering on Sunday, October 25th. May our Pot-Luck be overflowing and our conversation following encourage us in the Lord's blessings and direction for our church.

- Pray for our Let's Go Team as they go out every Saturday and every other Tuesday to be a witness for Jesus in our neighbourhood. Ask the Lord to plant the seeds of the gospel in many hearts, and bring people into our fellowship through their work.

- Pray for the Lord to provide some leaders for our Youth Ministry. We are in need of some help for our weeknight program for our Junior/Senior High group.

- Thank the Lord for our completed sidewalk repairs to the outside of our building and for the Lord's provision for the expense. Pray that the remaining funds and our budget will be met for this year.

WBC Missionary Updates

Peter & Valerie Limmer

Praise

1. A great end to the summer, packed with people, and new connections in our community. We were able to get pretty much everything done from our massive summer "to do" list—something that we didn't even think was possible!

2. We were pretty tired after such a full summer. We usually take a holiday in August, but postponed it until September because we planned a trip to celebrate our anniversary this year. (Update: our trip went really well, and we're back home now, ready to tackle the next few months.)

3. Higa sensei has figured out a way of fitting prayer meeting into his schedule again, even with the exhaustion of doing physiotherapy for 14 hours each week. We’re deeply enjoying the ability to connect and pray regularly with him and Tsuneko sensei again, in a more personal setting.

4. Ever-deepening relationships with the ESL students, and loads of opportunities to share more about Jesus with them! (More about this in our next newsletter...)

5. Peter played his violin at an inter-denominational pastors’ prayer meeting the other day, and we made good connections with a couple of the pastors. We're looking forward to continuing these connections in the months ahead.

Prayer

1. David, the fellow whom Peter’s discipling, is asking for prayer. When he married, he’d fallen away from Christ, but has recently returned to his faith. His wife (Mizuki) isn’t a Christian, and has been agreeing to come to church, but has been begging off for the past few weeks citing fatigue. She’s also just had a second baby. Please pray that David will be patient, and that Mizuki will eventually become open to coming to church and hearing about Jesus, and eventually open her heart to Him.

2. We recently received an inquiry from a friend associated with an organization that does Christian radio broadcasts around the world. They’re looking to set up a shortwave broadcast for Japan and are looking for our help to fill some of their weekend radio slots. Please pray that we will be able to connect with some pastors who might be interested.

3. Valerie's new school term starts this week. Please pray for stamina for her. Peter's new round of Japanese studies will be starting soon, too.
